Jungla - Short, authentic book reviews

-

A love story that is sure to raise eyebrows. Written at times almost in style of prose. The language is playful, full of trickery and if I’m honest can be a little tedious. In fact, Nobokov’s English (not his mother tongue) puts most of ours to shame. In all, a little pretentious.

Nabokov’s iconic tale is told through the eyes of the obsessed, which serves to make it funny and creepy in equal measure. Written beautifully by an author whose second language is English.
